Tatum Security to provide CNAPP service on Samsung SDS public cloud platform

Cloud security company Tatum Security said on Oct. 13 its CNAPP (Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform) solution was officially registered in the Security category of Samsung SDS’ public cloud service, Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP).
The company said Tatum Security’s CNAPP is an all-in-one security service that integrates management of security threats in cloud environments on a single platform. It provides integrated functions including CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management), which continuously checks for cloud configuration missettings; CWPP (Cloud Workload Protection Platform), which scans container and workload vulnerabilities and malware; and CIEM (Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management), which identifies excessive access privileges and implements the principle of least privilege.
It uses an agentless, API-based approach to eliminate blind spots in cloud assets. It supports runtime threat detection and automated response to improve visibility into public-sector cloud assets and the efficiency of security management.
A tenant is created by entering the license (Essential) and the number of workloads to be checked, along with the tenant name and super admin information, in the Samsung Cloud Platform console service menu.
Tatum CEO Hyeok-jae Yang (양혁재) said, “It is meaningful to be able to provide Tatum’s CNAPP service through Samsung SDS’ public cloud platform, which meets strict security requirements for public institutions.” He added, “We will do our best so that public institutions can pursue cloud-native-based digital innovation with peace of mind, without concerns about security threats.”
